Searching Properties

How do I search for a listing?
|
|
|
On the top of the page click on 'Search'. This will bring you to our advanced search option page, where you can search by property type, price, size, location, and so on. If you need help conducting a search please give us a call at 888-878-2975 and we would be more than happy to assist you.

I searched for my listing and it didn't come up. What's wrong?
|
|
|
When you edit a listing, make sure to click 'Save and Continue'. If you do not do that, it will remain 'Inactive' until you finish editing and saving the property.
|
|
|

Can I search by the property address?
|
|
|
Click 'Advanced' under the 'Search' button. You can then enter in the property address in the Search Terms field.
|
|
|
|
Why do I keep getting an error page when searching?
|
|
|
When searching for properties, it is always a good idea to clear your browser history and reload the page if you encounter an error. Sometimes this will fix the error. If not, we would appreciate it if you would please provide more information as to what location you were searching, what web browser you were using, and you can even send us a copy of the error message you received. This way we can fix the problem if one exists.

How do I update the status of my listing?
|
|
|
Once logged in, click on 'View/Edit Listing'. Select which listing you would like to edit, by clicking on 'Edit' to the left of your listing. Here you can change the listing status to 'Active', 'Paused', 'Under Contract', 'Sold/Closed', or 'Off Market'.

Why are my graphics/attachments not uploading?
|
|
|
There are two common causes that would result in not being able to upload a picture or attachment: First, please be sure the file name of the pic/attachment does not have a '.' or any other symbol other than the '.jpg.' Second, what web browser are you using? Sometimes this error occurs when using the Safari web browser. Please try using Internet Explorer and see if that solves the problem. How do I delete a property listing?
|
|
|
The quickest way to keep one of your listings from showing up in search results is to mark it as 'Paused' or 'Sold' when viewing them under your 'Listings' page. Please be sure to click the 'Update Status' button in order to save your changes. Your listing should no longer show up in search results but it will still be viewable under your account as a 'Paused' or 'Sold' property. We do not typically delete listings in order to save members the time of entering them again if they happen to come back on the market.

Do I need a membership to list my property?
|
|
|
Yes, you do need a membership. However, all RealUp Memberships are totally free.
|

How do I edit a property listing?
|
|
When you log in to your account it should automatically display your listings. If not, you can always click the 'My Listings' link that appears in the yellow box in the upper right corner of your screen. Once you are looking at all of your Listings, do not click on the listing. You want to click the 'Edit' button that appears to the left of the listing photo. Once you click 'Edit', it should take you to the listing edit screen where you will be able to change whatever information that needs to be changed. You can also upload more pictures or documents. Once you are done entering the information, don't forget to save your changes by clicking the 'Edit Listing' button that appears at the very bottom of the page. Your listing should automatically reflect the changes.

How do I upload videos to my listings?
|
|
|
Video is only available to Premium Members. Simply sign-in to YouTube. Upload your video to YouTube. Once your video is uploaded, copy the URL from YouTube and paste it into the 'YouTube Link' field. Click the 'Upload Video' button to include the video in your property listing. Only one video can be posted per listing.
|

What valid formats are accepted for photos/document uploads?
|
|
|
Valid photo formats include jpg, tif, png, gif, bmp, psd.

What is the maximum file size for property photos and documents/attachments?
|
|
|
Maximum file size for property photos and documents/attachments is 15 MB.

What if my property does not have an address?
|
|
|
You can drag the listing icon to specify exact position of property on map.
|

How many characters are required for the custom URL?
|
|
|
Custom URL must be between 5 to 20 characters and can only be letters and numbers with no spaces. Please make sure the custom URL is spelled correctly as this will be shown on the email blasts that are sent out.

How do I change my account information?
|
|
|
Once logged in, click on 'Account' in the top right corner. Here you can change your password, contact information, email address, and view your transaction history.

I forgot my password. How do I obtain it?
|
|
|
Make sure you are typing the entire email address (i.e. name@address.com) when logging in with your email and password. To have your password emailed to you, use this link: http://www.realup.com/member/forgot.asp.
